Born and raised in uptown New Orleans, I have always had a sense of adventure and a love for travel. In 1996, after graduating with a chemistry degree, I packed my bags and my jeep, heading West like my grandfather did two generations before me. I spent several years in southern California before moving to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. There, I fell in love with the people and its vibrant culture, eventually buying a kiosk on the beach in Copacabana. Açaí is a significant part of that culture, with an açaí shop on every corner. I dreamt of bringing the best and most authentic açaí bowls to New Orleans, and now that dream has come true with NOLA AÇAÍ, where you can also find delightful açaí bowls in Metairie.
